My computer crashed and so restarted it, when went to open thunderbird got a couldn't load XPCom message. Followed directions to reinstall thunderbird without using the uninstaller. When I installed it, I reloaded my email to set it up. I have lost all my latest emails, only getting them from 15 years ago. and today, nothing from this year. All my folders have also gone and my contacts.

Can someone please help, how do I fix it, I have emails from this year that I need to keep.

If you had to reinstall Windows, then you need to add your email accounts back to Thunderbird. If they were all imap accounts you're good. If you had any pop accounts and you have no backups of your computer prior to the crash then those messages are lost.

If you did not reinstall Windows then in Thunderbird do Help > Troubleshooting Information, scroll to the bottom of the list under "Application Basics" and click on about:profiles. Please tell us what "Profile:" names you see.
