Setting up another email account

I am trying to add another email account. My email accounts (imap) have to be manually configured. The system does not give me an option to manually configure a new another email. It tries to automatically configure and then just runs continuously in the background trying to configure the new email. What am I missing here?

This may not relate at all, but click settings>general and see if this box is checked. If so, uncheck it and try again.
