how to recover lost data
I shutdown my laptop. When it came back up, my fire fox pages were gone. I have the sync option on so I don't know why I lost all of my stuff, files, and documents.

Sorry to hear about this problem. I'm not completely clear on what you lost. Was it just open tabs, or also your history, bookmarks, etc.?
When you started Firefox, did it mention that it needed to create a new profile, or perform a Refresh/Tune-up, or that some data was unavailable?
