I have a tracking app on macOS Monterey that is following me around

On Firefox settings I came cross some locations where I see Google Chrome like on page info about:home or Application Basics: Google Location Service Key and Google Safe browning Key. Also, on a link called Survey where there is Google forms to fill out. I don't use Google Chrome because of the issues Google Chrome creates when I go on my the websites. Why are these Google things in Firefox and is there a way to remove them?

Maybe you can explain in more detail:

> on page info about:home

about:home is the built-in Firefox Home / new tab page. If you do not want to send searches to Google, you can change that setting: Change your default search settings in Firefox. If you do not want a shortcut to Google in the Shortcuts section, you can remove them. See: Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page.

> Application Basics: Google Location Service Key and Google Safe browning Key.

Location service is used when you give a website permission to access your location. Unless something has changed recently, Firefox sends information on nearby WiFi hotspots to Google, and Google uses its vast database of WiFi hotspot locations to guess your position, and returns that lat/lon to Firefox.

Safe Browsing is a service that provides lists of phishing and malware sites. See: How does built-in Phishing and Malware Protection work?

> Also, on a link called Survey where there is Google forms to fill out.

I'm not familiar with that link.

The settings are in my Firefox settings. I know Firefox doesn't track me. My problem is Google Chrome getting into my websites with their pop-ups and also on my Desktop. This goes on a daily bases.

What is the purpose of having privacy protection and encryption if Google Chrome is violating all the rules and it cannot be removed?

Websites

What is shown on the website. For example, are you seeing ads for how wonderful Google Chrome is, or are you getting invitations to log in with your Google Account?

Desktop

If the Google Chrome app is installed on your computer, you can uninstall it, unless you mean something else.

What is shown on website? Are pop-ups and they are not Google ads. It's one of the article's ad that pop-up on the right side and was also in bedded in the middle of the article which was never there before. This just started this month.

On the Desktop, the tracking app is in the Desktop Dock, and I only see the app reacting when I turn the computer on. It is being closed and removed from the Desktop Dock immediately. The tracking app is not shown in any settings, Finder, Launchpad so, I wouldn't know where to go to installed.

Have you run a cleaning program like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac?
