"Timed Out" TLS handshake glitch on all websites.
There's a glitch where the little gray box with "Timed Out" appears at the bottom of the browser, but if you hover the cursor over it, it will move the right and if you move to the right and hover it, it will revert.

It's normal for the status message to switch sides when you move your mouse pointer near it. It's just that these messages typically flash by quickly as the page loads and then you don't see them after that (unless you are hovering over a link, which uses the same overlay). So I moved on to the question of "Why is that lingering?"

Normally the status messages fade away after a few moments. I wonder whether the site keeps re-trying a particular URL? Does pressing the Esc key a couple times make any difference?
Also, does the status message mention what site did not connect, and is there an unusual pattern to it, for example, it is always the same site, or it is not related to the site you're visiting (or both)?

All websites have a TLS handshake at the bottom of the browser, but when you hover the cursor over the gray box, it will move either left or right corners of the web browser.

I see. The problem I have is the "Timed Out" status message.
Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).

But it's still there. Can you use "Bugzilla" to fix that?
Hmm, it says it timed out but doesn't say what was being requested? Perhaps it is a request to a blocked site and it's working the way you want... but how can we confirm that.

Maybe the URL has a glitch, which causes the little gray box on the bottom of the browser to read "Timed Out". Some websites lack the glitch, and it can be refreshed if the page loads. The only way to stop this glitch is by going to the Bugzilla page at mozilla.org, to fix the bug there.
Bugzilla is the bug tracking system. To get a bug fixed, usually we need to provide the developers steps to recreate the problem on their systems so they can test various modifications.
Is there a way to reliably reproduce this message on your Firefox? Does it continue in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
Any improvement?
To restart Firefox normally, exit from Safe Mode and then start Firefox as usual.
