All my bookmarks have disappeared

Hi! Hoping someone can help.

I opened Firefox and all of my bookmarks have vanished. The folders that used to contain them are still there and have my custom names, but the folders are all empty.

I'm tried to restore the bookmarks from the backup within Firefox and it does not work.

I really need these for work and need help restoring them as soon as possible.

Can anyone help?
