FireFox 82.0 Exporting bookmarks -- How ? I like to keep a copy on my computer . I do not wish to do a SYNC . 

Why do I need to do a SYNC -- I like to keep my info to me and not all over the internet /cloud .

Let us know whether that works for you.

As for why you might use Sync, it is to share data with your other installations of Firefox (for example, on a mobile device). If you don't have other installations of Firefox, then no need to think about it.
