Hi Eric, that's strange. There is an error where Firefox will not start if it is already running. But it sounds like you are getting a different message. You may from time to time see a yellow bar in Firefox, just below the toolbar area, indicating that a site or a script is slowing down Firefox. The bar has buttons to stop the script or wait. It's not that one either? Perhaps it would help if you could share a screenshot of it.
