Hi How do I refresh a static html page. Example: I have viewed a page on my website and find there is an error on the page. Then I correct the page and upload. Finally I refresh the page but it still shows the old browser data.

Firefox saves most website pages to the cache, so that it can be loaded from there instead of having to ask the website server for the page again. If a website is loaded from the cache, the content on it will not update and any data that was entered into input fields will remain in there.

You can force Firefox to get the page again from the server by bypassing the cache. This can be done using one of the following steps:

  • Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload FxReloadButton button in the navigation toolbar.

OR

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)

Hope this helps.
