Show me how to find the bookmark manager

I've seen this question from two years ago, but the answer is not valid (any more).

I had several machines with different purposes and when I got a Firefox account, I signed them all in. Now the bookmarks are chaotic, and I want to combine them in a more rational way. I need a real manager that allows me to do this. I'm sure there is one, but I cannot find it.

Currently FF 77.0.1, according to help.

You should be able to do this in the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Show All Bookmarks).

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily.

Kevin,

When you are using Sync thru your Firefox Account, it may take some time for Sync to get bookmarks perfectly arranged after the initial Sync event for a new device.

From what I have experienced with Sync, IMO Sync does further re-arrangement best upon each fresh launch of Firefox. IOW, closing Firefox and then waiting a minute or so to open it again seems to speed up the process.

But doing a manual re-arrangement manually while being connected to the Sync server is the wrong thing to do to fix things yourself. As co-el said, If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily.

And the "rational way" for users doesn't always seem to apply when Sync is involved. "Machine logic" sometimes may appears or seem to be non-rational to humans who don't write software, IMO as a mere user with 36 years experience using a PC, back to deep in the DOS era. The overall system is very complicated and more so if "mobile" Firefox builds are involved, like some tablets and most smart phones, based upon user reports from this forum over the last 5 or 6 years.
