I have been able to get on facebook in the past but now after the update I can't on to my facebook.

If you cannot connect to the Facebook website at all in Firefox:

Check to see if you can connect in another browser such as Internet Explorer. If you can connect in another browser, but not in Firefox: Follow the troubleshooting steps below, starting with the Clear cookies and cache section. Check to make sure your Internet security software (such as a firewall, antivirus, or anti-spyware program) is set to allow Firefox. For instructions on configuring specific firewall programs, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. If you cannot connect in any browser, the Facebook site may be down. Other Facebook problems You can visit the Facebook Help Center or the Facebook Help Community to see if your issue is a known Facebook website problem. If you can't find a solution, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Clear cookies and cache Clearing your stored cookies and the Firefox cache can solve several common problems with Facebook, such as Farmville issues.

Click the Library button 57 library icon on your toolbar. (If you don't see it there, click the menu button fx57menu then click Library.) Click History and select Clear Recent History…. In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything. Below the drop-down menu, select both Cookies and Cache. Make sure other items you want to keep are not selected. Click Clear Now. Check cookie settings If you receive an error message that mentions cookies after clearing your cookies and cache:

Click the menu button Fx57Menu and select Options. Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section. Fx63settings-AcceptCookies Make sure Accept cookies and site data is selected. Click Exceptions…. Make sure facebook.com is not listed. If it is listed, click on its entry, then click Remove Website. Check if JavaScript is being blocked You should check whether you have an extension (such as NoScript) or Internet security program (such as a firewall, antivirus, or anti-spyware program) that can block JavaScript.

Check extensions, themes, and the Flash plugin If the steps above did not fix your problem with Facebook:

Changes to Facebook Facebook is known to make changes to their system regularly. Check Facebook Developer Blog for changes that have recently been made.

Hi, assuming this is only happening on FB; try deleting ALL references to FB. To do that, open the 3-bar menu, choose History (looks like a clock), then click the Show All History link at the bottom of the list to open the Library window. Type Facebook in the Search History field in the top-right corner, then press Enter. Now in the search results, right-click on FB, and select Forget About This Site. (Browsing and download history, cookies, cache, active logins, passwords, saved form data, exceptions for cookies, images and pop-ups for that site will be removed). Give it a minute to complete the deletion then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again. More - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox

hii you can try basic steps like these in case of issues with facebook web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

   Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
   Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
   Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac) 

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

   Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now" 

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

   Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" 

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

   Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
