I am using Outlook email on my Mac and I make a spelling error. The program underlines the word in red, but when I right click the drop down menu is blank. Also on the menu bar, I can no longer get LastPass icon to show but have been able to do before. The extension for this password program is shown as active in the extension menu. I just can't see it. It really is frustrating when you can't contact a technical person easily. I have spent hours trying to resolve this issue to the point where I have to use another browser.

Sounds like the browser may be corrupt.

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Note: Check Both Folders

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

Do Not remove any profile folders.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

First, thanks for sending this message. Second, one of the problems is that nothing happens when I Click the menu button in the top right of Firefox. Then I feel foolish because when I try to start Firefox in safe mode by holding down the "Option" key I only get a small window saying Firefox is open in safe mode but what then? I don't get the image showing me "start in safe mode" or "refresh". Just the top part. That's what I think is happening with the blank drop-down table. It is blank. What do you suggest I do without being able to open Firefox in safe mode? I did delete the program and re-installed, but have the same problem. Appreciate any help you can give. Peter

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting for changes to take effect.

Thanks for the help. The key was ejecting the Firefox from the dmg file.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems.
