In your Firefox profile that you backed up, there is a folder called bookmarkbackups there are 15 bookmark backups in there from the most recent 15 days.

Hi ToSt, Are you referring to backing up Thunderbird?

OK, the Thunderbird Forum is around the corner but, I think I can help you out a little.

These articles should help you find where the information is stored for you to back up Thunderbird: Profiles - Where Thunderbird stores your messages and other user data mozillaZine - Profile backup

Oh, I'm sorry - I keep calling it Firefox, but that's the browser... Oops! This article has the messages and other data, but I don't see that it has the Address Books. Are they stored there or somewhere else? Thank you.

If you backup your entire profile it will all be in there.

If you only want the specific file for addresses it is named abook.mab

There should be a link in the article about how to restore information from a backup which describes each file.

It turns out it's link, then another link...

Take a look at: Transferring data to a new profile - Thunderbird http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Thunderbird

I backed up C:\Users\Toni\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and I don't see any file named abook.mab in it (my address books). I even did a search and nothing was found matching that. Sorry, I don't understand...

You backed up your Firefox profile but, that isn't a bad thing.

It should be: C:\Users\Toni\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\

D'oh! I always get those two backwards in my head. Please forgive me. Quick Thunderbird question - what are bookmarks called? I hope that backed them up, did it? Thanks so much for your patience!

In Firefox? Bookmarks are called bookmarks. (I know, other browsers call them by different names)

Here's a tip that I just looked up. You can export your address book into a .csv file:

Open Address Book and select an address book in the left pane. If the pane is hidden, View/Layout and enable Directory Pane. If the Menu Bar with View is hidden, press Alt. Don't select All Address Books. Then, Tools/Export..., which defaults to csv format.

Doesn't Thunderbird has a button on "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" page just like Firefox to go to the profile folder ?
