The application menu button doesn't work any more (application menu doesn't open when clicked)
Since the update to 68.2.2, the application menu button doesn't work any more. Clicking the button just results in no reaction.

There are quite a few extensions installed. The Duplicate Contact Manager is installed twice, get rid of the redundant one. Saved Password Editor is disabled, get rid of it. This functionality is built-in. If it's still not working after that, I have no idea. You may want to try a new profile.

As the problem remains in the safe mode, it cannot be caused by addons.

I copied my data into a new profile, and the problem doesn't reappear as long as I don't include prefs.js.
As I'm using six different mail accounts, it would take a while to restore all my account settings by hand. Is there any other easy way of restoring account settings without the old prefs.js?
You could try to extract all the mail.server.server[x] and mail.account.account[x] lines from the old prefs.js to the new one. I'm not sure though whether this will fully restore all your accounts in the new profile.
If not, then I don't know any other way than manually re-creating the accounts. I agree that this would be a real pain.
