Had an old Win7 computer, trying to sync my new Win10 firefox, and it just doesn't seem to work. I'm sure I'm stuck on stupid, but the 'how to' instructions aren't very helpful. What is the simple thing I'm missing here? I have sync turned on on both computers. I had real bad luck a few years ago attempting this, and lost EVERYTHING and had to start all over again.

Hi pttracy, were you sync'ing your Windows 7 Firefox before? The first Sync may proceed slowly in the background, and the other Firefox not show much if any of the data for a couple hours after that.

Could I suggest you make a local backup of your Windows 7 data in case you need to copy files to Windows 10. These articles give the general gist:
