I can't disable the marketing emails i get from firefox. They are addressed to my secondary e-mail adress i once had for my account. If i want to login using my secondary e-mail i get the notification "Primary account email required for sign-in". I also readded the e-mail adress as secondary, disabled all the e-mail notifications and removed it again to no avail. I'm pretty sure that these e-mails started after i checked the secondary e-mail on Firefox Monitor. I may have signed up for the notification service. So i to readded the sec. e-mail, logged in to Firefox Monitor, added the sec. e-mail to the breach alerts and deleted it once again. No success.

Sorry for the delay!

It does seem that there is an issue with some of the Mozilla email lists where they are not including an unsubscribe button that can be used without logging into a Firefox Account.

Fortunately, you can request the link for your email preferences center, which will allow you to unsubscribe from all Mozilla emails to a certain email address.

Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention. Hope this helps.

Any marketing emails from Mozilla contain a link at the bottom to either Unsubscribe or Update your email preferences. Either option allows you to stop getting emails from Mozilla. You shouldn't have to login either.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the answer Wesley! To unsubscribe or to update your email preference you need to login. That was my first step to get rid of the marketing emails.

Thank you! This helped me fix the issue. Strangely enough i had to sign up for the newsletter in order to unsubscribe from it but it stopped the emails for now. It seems like there is still kind of a ghost account for my second email.

No problem. Mozilla is looking into the issue to prevent it from happening in the future.

Hello- I changed my primary email address.

My former primary email address is now my secondary email address.

I still get marketing emails on my secondary email address (e.g. the Firefox Send email from yesterday).

I cannot unsubscribe through my Firefox account, because that only controls my primary email address.

I tried getting the recovery link for my preference center, but when I fill in my secondary email address, it gives me: "This email address is not in our system. Please double check your address or subscribe to our newsletters."

How do I unsubscribe my secondary email address??!

Hi milkelele! The email preference centre should work for every email that is registered to receive emails from Mozilla.

Double check the email address that the emails are being sent to.

I have no idea if it will work or not, but another option could be to sign up for the email newsletters again. Then, once you are signed up, try the email preference centre again. My assumption is that this could trigger the system to update the settings for that email address, although I can't really be certain about that.

Thanks, Wesley- So the pref center didn't recognise my email address at first. I re-subscribed as you suggested and now I could disable the email.

Cheers!
