Why is Firefox 66.0 so slow?

Firefox automatically updated to 66.0. Now it takes almost 5 mins. to load my homepage. Before it loaded fairly quickly. I want to go back to the earlier version.

Sounds like a corrupted update. So how did you determine "loaded fairly quickly"?

What are you using as your homepage?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
