Your updates delete my Microsoft Money data. How to prevent?

When I receive an update for FireFox, when it is "allowed" all my data in Microsoft Money is deleted. How can I prevent this? It's a nuisance to be repeatedly re-entering all the data every time there's an update.

Hi Joseph464, where does Microsoft Money store its data? It that a separate Windows application, or a web-based application you access in the browser? (It is difficult to understand how a Firefox update could affect a completely separate program.)

When you update, it clears your data. There is nothing that I know of to help.

That seems like a serious deficiency. Is there someone in programming I can communicate with?

OK. I am using Microsoft Windows 10. One of the included apps is Microsoft Money. When i press the START button, the Green Microsoft Money icon appears. I click on the icon and view my entered stock portfolios in the Watchlist. The data is updated automatically and continuously from the various stock exchanges/markets on a delay basis. Very often, but not every time, when a Firefox update is accepted, the portfolios disappear. I lose everything on the Watchlist including the relevant historical information. I don't believe this should be happening and would love to see it fixed. Thanks.

Hi Joseph464, thank you for the additional information. I can't imagine that a Microsoft app uses Firefox, so it's a complete mystery how updating Firefox could modify the Microsoft Money data.

Could you report it to Microsoft to see whether they have any suggestions?
