A website is slowing your browser. Stop it or wait?
I get this error message on the same website every day. I click stop it, and the message disappears for 30 seconds then reappears over and over again. The message does not say this webpage; it says a webpage. Unchecking "always block all detected trackers" does not help.

Yeah, none of that helped. What seems to have solved the problem is changing to always blocking all detected trackers instead of blocking only in private windows. I can cycle between the two settings. In Always - no problem; In Private only - problem. I assume the trackers must be having a script problem. What do you think? I think this qualifies as a solution. If a website slows down your browser, then always block all trackers to fix it.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
- Clear the Cache and
- Remove Cookies

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?
While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

I am having a similar issue, with one site in particular. The issue goes away when I launch Firefox in "safe mode," though it did not upon disabling hardware acceleration. Above it says a solution could be "changing to always blocking all detected trackers instead of blocking only in private windows.", but I don't know what that means nor how to do that within Firefox.
Hopefully someone can assist, I have not been able to access a particular site for months now.
