This appeared to happen after a recent update as others have said and it is BEYOND annoying. I am a senior citizen and am not fond of having enter my logins and passwords EVERY time I go to a site. I understand about banks and other groups not allowing this information to be stored but other regular sites that I visit DAILY used to allow it. Please correct this mess and/or tell all of us how to detect what sites are SUDDENLY not allowing this information to be stored. Are they not required to reveal that they have this restriction somewhere on their site? Correcting this would save us from endless hours of frustration and time trying to find the answer. Thank you for your help!

please take a look in the list of installed programs/apps within your windows system settings if there is an entry called "trend micro password manager" present there - if so, please remove it as it is known to cause the behaviour you've mentioned (unticking the save passwords box after reboots).

hi, do you happen to use a security product from "trend micro" on the affected system?

ently had to switch to Trend Micro because Best Buy no longer supports Kasinski. If that is what you believe is the problem, please tell me how to correct that OR I will make Best Buy fix it.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
