4 messages in Thunderbird Drafts folder don't show

In the left pane in the Local Folders > Drafts subfolder it show there are 4 Total messages (0 Unread). However, with Drafts selected, no message headers show where they normally do when a folder is selected.

I used Repair Folder, but that didn't result in their showing.

I also used the Quick Filter searching for the vowel e. That got me a crosshatched pattern, but no message headers.

How do I find out if there are really draft messages there and look at them?
