How to make the list of Firefox's 'Show all bookmarks ' highlight the previous bookmark observed rather than the top one on the list which is presently being do
When I used to select a bookmark to retrieve from the 'Show all bookmarks' list and then return to this list after finishing with the bookmark it would automatically highlight the name of the bookmark on the list that I just finished with. Now when I do the same thing the name of the top bookmark on the 'Show all bookmarks' list is highlighted instead. I don't know why this procedure changed but it makes it a lot more inconvenient when working with numerous sequential bookmarks.

Hi LeoJClark, could you walk me through the steps you're using?
For comparison:
(1) Call up the Library window using either Ctrl+Shift+b or "Show All Bookmarks"
(2) Find a bookmark you want to open and either:
- double-click to replace the page you were viewing in the last active tab
- right-click > Open in New Tab or Open in New Window
With those steps, when I switch back from Firefox to the Library, the last launched bookmark is highlighted.
I tried the steps that you recommended but it still didn't work. I believe I'm not doing the right thing in the last step i.e., switch back from Firefox to the Library. Could you be a little more specific as to exactly what this entails. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Leo, my hands are trained to use Alt+Tab to switch between the currently active window and the previously active window. However, you also can use the Window Taskbar: hover over or click the tile for Firefox to show the thumbnails for open windows, and then click the thumbnail for the Library. (At least on Windows 7; I think that's still possible in Windows 10.)

In this my last message I want to again thank you for all your help in solving my problem. It appears as though both the sidebar and Alt + Tab recommendations will work. Back in the days of MS DOS I had to use keystrokes for every operation but unfortunately I quit using them with the advent of Windows. In this case they proved to be helpful. I'm glad.
