I'd like to use the firefox default downloader because of its convenience - one click downloads for most of the sites I use. The default downloader also works wonders with some of the extensions I'm using. The problem is that it 'always' downloads at about 20% of what my internet is capale of, regardless of which site I'm downloading from. I'm using free download manager to counter act this issue, but it makes the download process tedious because I have to change the file name of each download (it doesnt pick up the name for some downloads), and it involves copying and pasting the download link each time there is a firefox update, since the free dowload manager plugin for firefox takes long to be updated each time. My home network is fairly standard, I'm not using any proxies, no VPNs, just plain old adsl and wifi. I'm having this issue on all my devices at home by the way. Some do go a bit faster, but almost never above 180KB/s Is there any setting in options or even in the config (about:config) that I can change to try and fix this?
