Is it possible to have the favicon back in the address bar without installing an extra addon ?

I really miss the favicon in the address bar which now only seems to be able to be restored with a seperate addon (Favicon Restorer, which is abandoned and not e10's compatible).

Please, would it be possible to have that option back using Greasemonkey or Stylish or some other way, preferable not by installing another add-on.
