Why does FF49.0.1 keep trying to serve me a .zip file named 903-win-ia32

Ever since FF updated to version 49, each time I open it my download manager spots this file and wants to download it. I use a download app on my desktop, not the one in the browser.

I don't generally download unknown files unless I know what they are for.

This one appears to be for Edge, which I don't have because Win 10 will not load on my old machine. I am Win 7.

Here is the whole link address for the download: "https://r2--sn-a5m7ln7r.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/903-win-ia32.zip?cms_redirect=yes&expire=1474790697&ip=198.8.80.18&ipbits=08mm=288mn=sn-a5m7ln7r&ms=nvh&mt=1474776252&mv=m&nh=IgpwcjAxLmxheDAyKgkxMjcuMC4wLjE&pl=24&shardbypass=yes&sparams=expire,ip,ipbits,mm,mn,ms,mv,nh,pl,shardbypass&signature=0F2658AF839CDD0C592987F604DFC36D7B6C6BF6.4D065549903E9234A35A3EB3386013070B3D78CF&key=cms1"

I hope you get more out of that than I can.

This is the Widevine framework download for DRM content. Certain websites like Netflix will give you this because you may need it to watch their content. This is legit and usually downloads automatically. It is created by Google.

The domain name gvt1.com is owned by Google, but it is a very weird full server name, so I can understand being suspicious about that.

Thanks Wesley and jscher, I will let this load on the next reboot. And yes, that .gvt had me worried. I also see that the entry I thought was for Edge has an extra d at the end, so don't know if it really is for that browser or just coincidental.

Thanks for the help.
