Here is what I sent...

I'd like to help stop your crashes.  I help users and developers with crash issues. You can see the projects I work on and my qualifications at https://mozillians.org/en-US/u/wsmwk/   I can see your crashes because you gave us an email address (thanks for giving it). I need to learn more from you so I can help other users in a similar situation.

To fix this our developer must have a message that crashes. So we need you to provide a testcase that can crash for the developer.

1. Create a new folder "crashtests" in Local Folders.

2. Copy 2-3 messages that crash into crashtests folder. (Turn off message display pane using F8, to avoid crashing when copying the mail)

3. Turn on message display, F8, and test check again that accessing the messages in crashtests folder cause you to crash.

4. find crashtests in Mail\Local Folders in your Thunderbird profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb

5. zip and email me the folder (I will send you my email address)

Our developer will thank you.

Hello Wayne. I will try to get this done.. One thing I've noticed is that the crashes stopped after I turned off the message display option... could that be the culprit?

No, message display isn't the culprit. It is accessing the message body (to build the display) that is the problem.

I see you are still crashing up to a dozen times a day. Are you having difficulty collect sample?

Also, some users report that starting Thunderbird with "run as administrator" helps. Could you do that please and post your results?

So far I am unable to reproduce. But that is par for the course - so far we've not been able to reproduce from anyone who has provided samples.

Could this have something to do with RAM? I noticed that when I have several windows/programs open at the same time, I see more crashes..

Wayne, anything new? I keep crashing all day long...

Does what I emailed make sense?

(For the record, allcargox is still crashing a lot. And is the user with the most crashes. Unfortunately not a good test candidate due to corporate data.)

Wayne, I would like to uninstall everything and start over with Thunderbird. How do I save my settings and archives before doing so?

So in your opinion, should I go back to outlook??

This should be fixed in version 60, and also 52.5.0.
