have tried to stop the plug-in, but the box disappears so fast. have managed to click it, but the message keeps coming up every minute. opened the Task Manager to try and see what it says. "Plug-in hang for Firefox (32-bit). I have checked that all my plug-ins are up to date. not sure what else to do. cannot use AOL or play any games on Facebook. The main content works on Facebook just not the games. this makes it rather tough to use Firefox because it's locked up or at least very very slow. you can only click on one thing and wait 60 seconds before browser refreshes. would appreciate it if you can help. until then I will be using Google Chrome but not willingly. :(

thanx, harumi52

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
