Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

You can check for issues caused by plugins.

  • set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the about:addons page ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Plugins)
  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

Create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

yes the only way it was not showing up was in private mode but now giving it about a hour it will pop up

yes i still have problem with windows shutting me down it was running fine in private but now given it about hour or so i will get the message sorry windows has detected a problem we need to shut down program is happening in all modes i put it in the odd thing is it opens right back up to were i was

Firefox will restore the last session in case of a crash.

Did you try the computer in Safe Mode?

Was there anything else besides sorry windows has detected a problem ?

no thats all it says . no starting in safe mode i get the same thing .i even tried to make a new profile make no difference still runs for a bit then i get the notice and then it shuts down on me

Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Do Not remove the profiles folder.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

problem i do not have the user manual did not come with one cant i just do a restore i dont have nothing on the computer so out of box restore would not hurt me at all i got a few pic but i got them stored on the cloud

My instructions are not to restore the computer, just do a clean Firefox install.

oh ok i was not sure .i tried something else for the hell of it i rolled my driver back and for some reason let you know if it sticks but it seems to be working fine right now ive got to see if windows updated also but so far for a couple hours ive had no problem but has i just said i will let you know tomorrow i got to check on windows to see if there up to date i remembered that fake link i got and i thought that might have had some thing to do with it also had a iglo download that tried to say i had problems i did not use the cleaner but the program was downloaded so i dont know if there was interference with that also

the back up seemed to help but still having some problems its not shutting down no more with the back up to last good configuration so now i got to figure out why the delay in switching pages or closing the tabs flash player still crashing but not has much more now when i switch web pages

ok back up worked no problems not even with the flash player but i found out the hard way Microsoft had a hard time with there security downloads but i am sure you already know about that
