Thunderbird search function
Does the thunderbird quick search where you can choose subject or from or to or message still exist in the last version? I suppose quick search use the current folder.

Does quick filter function execute after the global search or can a quick filter search execute before a global search is executed?
I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.
To enable 'Quick filter Bar' 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > select 'Quick filter Bar' or use shortcut keys 'Ctrl + shift + K'
Quick Filter Bar allows instant filtering on the select folder. eg: 'Show only unread messages' sunglasses icon click on this to instantly show all unread messages.
Enter something in the search box to search on; maybe it is part of a 'Subject' title. Select the 'Subject' filter you should instantly see filtered results.
A global search would be searching though all your folders.
If offers a different set of filters to help narrow down the parameters. You may then prefer to 'open as a list'.
So this is more clicking, more filter options, more folders are involved.
It really depends upon what you are trying to achieve as to which of the various search functions you use.
Perhaps you are looking to create folders of search results. via 'Menu Bar': 'Edit' > 'Find' > 'Search Messages' Or
via 'Mail Toolbar' : 'Menu icon' > 'Find' > 'Search Messages'
