Gallery view "hangs" since TB45.0 update

Since updating to TB4.50, the gallery view function for attachments (image files etc) "no longer works" - a new tab "tbGallery" opens when the gallery view link is clicked, but nothing is displayed in that new tab (it's just blank).

The image files are viewable within the message view pane and they do open into their appropriate program when the filename is clicked - so the problem isn't due to corrupted attachment files. And while I can still view those files, I prefer the Gallery view function as this scales those images down to a single-screen-readable view.

Any ideas of a fix/configuration change?
