EEC European Union have commented on Google trying to monopolise their search engine on devices. Microsoft appear to be doing teh sam ewith Firefox. The search facility gives great market control and has revenue implications. It is vital people havhoice of search engines - not just Bing and Google.

First off, Firefox is a web browser - not a search engine. So a comparison with what you read in the news about Bing and Google search have nothing to do with Firefox or Mozilla.

The EU vs Microsoft settlement agreement concerning web browser "choice" for users has runs its course. Microsoft is once again "free" to violate anti-trust laws around the globe, and be prosecuted once again by any government who wants to waste their resources and many years of time. If you value user choice stop using Windows and go "open source".

As far as Lumina goes, that device never fell under the EU web browser settlement agreement which was reached before Lumina even existed. And as far as Firefox not being available for Lumina devices, that has nothing to do with Microsoft and the EU; the operating system used on Lumina has such a small market share on mobile devices that it is hardly worth Mozilla time to create a version of Firefox for that platform. After CE6 (circa 2007) was dropped for "phones", Microsoft never had enough market share to be a "player" in the smart phone arena.
