I can't logout of Gmail. I've tried recommended archived solution and it didn't work. I'm on the latest updates on Firefox. Issue started today.

Today, I started having issues logging out of Gmail. I don't get the option to log out when I go to logout in the usual way. I've gone through the recommended procedures in your archives for this issue from last year and it still didn't resolve the issue. I am on the most recent updates on Firefox. Please advise how to resolve the issue.

If you manually remove the cookies stored in the site preferences this could restart the cache and remove a corruption.

The easiest way are in these steps:

  1. Open a new window and navigate to about:permissions
  2. Search for google or the gmail site in the search
  3. Clicking on "Forget this site" will remove all history, settings and cookies from the site.
  4. Restart Firefox
