Due to some software limitations I need to start using Outlook. Is there a way to export my Thunderbird email and folders so that once I install Outlook I can import them? I have thousands of emails that I need to keep and maintaining two email processes is not a viable option for our company.

Are you using IMAP? If so, most of this happens automatically. Just set up the account in Outlook using IMAP and you'll see all your folders and messages.

You may find that you can just drag and drop messages from Thunderbird to Outlook. If so, do it little and often. Be patient, do it a bit at a time. Especially if either client is accessing an online store - Exchange/Outlook.com in the case of Outlook, possibly an IMAP server with Thunderbird.

Otherwise, I suggest you look for an mbox to pst converter.

Your Address Book will be your next concern. This can be exported to CSV, which outlook ought to be able to use.
