Hi

I am getting really frustated with Firefox, the session restore function works whenever it feels like it... I could be working for days without restarting my computer (I put it on sleep mode instead) and so I dont close Firefox during all that time, but when I close Forefox manually I must bookmark the new tabs I could have opened because I know could loose them forever on next restart.

I mean, it really doesn´t matter if I close Firefox manually or if it decides to freeze and crash (this happens more than twice a month btw), it could restore all my tabs up to the last minute that I used Firefox, or it could restore only the tabs up to a day or a week before... and because those times it doesn´t even save the complete HISTORY, those tabs are now gone gone forever, which is extremely frustrating if you where on research mode. The only times i can do somethign about it is when I get the Restore session Window, I then go through all the closed tabs (and save them) up to the last one that got to be within the restore session.

I have tested using Firefox WITHOUT any Extentions but the result arethe same... I can´t relly on it, it could crash within a day or it could take days, and even if closing it manually it could save everything or it could save it from whever time/day it chooses.

Also I use a different Firefox profiles, so sometimes I have very few tabs opened (5-10) and other times I have many (+300). I could be running only Firefox, or I could be running 1 or 3 Firefox profiles, and/or another Office App, or skype. and no matter what Firefox Crashes or Freezes. There are times I can´t use any Apps because Firefox is hogging all the RAM, specially Graphic design apps.

I have also tried using "Tab Mix Plus session manager", and the extention "Session manager", but this one is even worse because it is more unreliable and keeps saving NEW session files, instead of autosaving to the same file. and when Crashing some sessions came up corrupted and unusable or it never would restore the complete session up to the last moment it crashed.

So what else is there to do??? I hate Chrome/IE/Safari and Firefox was supposed to be the better option but these past year it has gotten terrible.

PC SPECS: Windows 8 OS, Intel Core i5 at 3.20GHz - 3.6GHz and 8GB RAM.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the sessionstore file(s). Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
