Automatically open url in body mail

I wish that when I receive an email from a specific sender, I can in one way or another, open links in the message body and display them in the browser. Then the email will be moved to another folder.

I thought of an addon to extend the functions of the filters, as FiltaQuilla but I have not managed to run the filter with the "javascript with body" option.

Would there someone a solution to achieve this?

This is not the place to request support for FiltaQuilla, not is it's review section on AMO for that matter. There is a support link on AMO, Use it..

I am sure for a fee the add-on author will write you a custom solution if Filtaquilla does not meet your needs. Just be aware that links are hrefs in HTML and not all hrefs will be what you want to open.

FiltaQuilla is only an addon that I tried but could not make it work.

Moreover, the support forum seem broken because I have not managed to post a message on the forum of the addon (I have a blank page after confirming the title) so no help possible. I do not even know if the addon is still maintained.

I do not specifically looking for a solution with FiltaQuilla but any solution that would allow me to do what is specified in my first post.

I would also like to make you aware of a possibility that could happen.

There are some disreputable people who abuse email addresses that belong to other people. These emails often include links that you would not want auto opening. Although you may know the person and their email address, you would need to ascertain if that email really was from the person you believe it to be from before opening any attachments or clicking on any links. To do anything otherwise could be a risk to your computer or your own personal details like your email address.

Yes I had thought about too. I thought it would be enough to test the URL with REGEX. Not only for fraud but also to eliminate the links in signatures or added by antivirus for example.

1. What you are asking for is a process that can scan the body of an email, identify the URLs, filter out the images etc so your left with what you actually want and then pass those to the operating system to open. Thunderbird can not do that.

2. FiltaQilla is probably the best add-on for what you want, short of paying to have one developed from scratch.

3.The add-on is supported as are the rest of kent Jame's add-ons.

4. What support site? I see you posting in the reviews section on the add-on asking questions, If I was the add-on author I would just delete those as they are not reviews.. The support link redirects to a blog. The blog has an ancient forum attached which appear to have had little or no use for years, Could that be because the add-on has a support email listed? It works. I know, as I have used it.

I have sent an email some time ago... I have never had any reply so i tested the old blog forum and after the review but none of them gave any result.

That's the reason why i ask you for help.

Edit : I have send another email. i will wait and see.

I guess I have to abandon the idea of one day having a solution ...
