How does a mac user get his Mac Book (which meets all requirements)to "implement" the latest firefox update AFTER it has been downloadedinstalled?
I have a Mac OS X 10.9 that has Firefox 34.0 - - it automatically detects a need for a newer version (38.0.1) ... I download/install it ... it asks me to save both or replace ( I replace it) and STILL no updated version. I have repeated this multiple times.
Any advice/help is appreciated.

Hello stillwaterokie, please download and install firefox, follow the next steps:
1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html (full dmg package)
2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.
