Cannot check the print selection only box when printing with a label printer

We are trying to use a Zebra GC420d printer to print name labels through a checkin online database. However as part of the config instructions provided to set up the printer setting, I must check the box 'print selection only' in the print dialogue box in Firefox. However this check box cannot be clicked because it is 'greyed' out. What do I need to change so I can check this box? Thanks, Shannon

Are you using the Print toolbar button, or using {Command + P} ?

Using the Print button opens the Print Preview screen which "wipes" any selection the user made, and "Selection" is then greyed out and unusable. Bug 1062610 was filed about this issue
