We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

The crash report has several pages of information we need to see.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers, click it and select Submit.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

No i am not seeing any report without BP i am seeing only one with BP

don't you get any idea from above submitted report?

Sorry to say i am seeing only one link after i type about:crashes<enter>. which i have already pasted ... what are the possible reasons for below message? Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

r_avo மூலமாக திருத்தப்பட்டது

I think the most likely reason for that message is that Firefox did not shut down properly or may still be running in memory.

You can check the Windows 7 Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), Processes tab, for firefox.exe and if you find it, try right-click > End Process.

You might also check the suggestions in this article: "Firefox is already running but is not responding" error - How to fix

HI Yes i can see firefox.exe *32 running in task manager but its not getting killed by doing end process (right-click > End Process...) i did try to kill it many times but no it keeps running..

Hi r_avo, thank you for testing that. Another user reported that Firefox was unkillable on his/her system and Windows had to be restarted: Firefox cant connect to the internet after a while of being on.

The mystery was not solved in that thread, but Firefox worked correctly in a new profile, which pointed to a preference, or settings file, or add-on as a likely culprit. Since your new profile test was not effective, perhaps the issue is in something that Firefox configures automatically in a new profile: system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), and pre-configured preferences from Firefox's program folder.

Do you see any of those in the new profile?

Regarding crash reports, if the codes do not change to BP, try Ctrl+clicking the IDs you do have and then copying the full URLs from the crash-stats site.

Hi its same issue with new profile as well where can i find earlier (older) version of firefox ? I am thinking of installing older version n test if it works or not

HI i just checked browser console and find something which might give you clue of whats going wrong i am attaching image of the same please have a look

That error seems related to showing the autocomplete drop-down when you start typing in the address bar. It's hard to say whether that is a symptom of a larger problem, or a breakdown that might affect other processes.

You can turn off the history search used for the autocomplete drop-down and see whether that makes any difference.

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy

The bottom third of the dialog has checkboxes for the categories of information gathered for the autocomplete drop-down. If you turn them all off, do you notice any difference with this problem?
