Hmm, that's not normal. Does this happen on all sites or do you see a pattern involving particular sites?

In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

• "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
• Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run

After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).

I did everything you said and now only happens with some links. What is this strange behavior?

Sites can code their pages to modify Firefox's right-click behavior. For example, they can hide Firefox's right-click menu.

You can change a setting so that you always get Firefox's right-click context menu. If the site has its own menu, Firefox's will appear in front of it.

To access the site's menu after making this change, you have to carefully dismiss Firefox's menu with a single press of the Esc key. (I think I've only seen one site where both menus disappear when I press Esc, so it nearly always works.)

Want to try it?

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste context and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the dom.event.contextmenu.enabled preference to switch it from true (sites can detect and re-place the right-click menu) to false (they can't).

I did a reset and now I still have the same problem and "Firefox" created a folder on the desktop. How do I put the "Firefox" back as it was ??? :P

Is better now!!! but it seems very sensitive :P - the problem is not the mouse - this doesn't happen in IE or chrome :(

I want to know how to get my old firefox back? I made a reset by mistake before...

It's actually a little bit involved to undo a reset. I wrote a detailed reply on that in this thread: when using restart firefox you get a folder on the desktop called old firefox data i need to know how to use this folder to get my old firefox preferences back.

Never mind!! the syncronization is working... but i still have the same problem with the right-click... is nothing major, i think i can live with that, you know?! but is annoying and frustating sometimes... is just the way i browse - I like to open always new tabs from every link I click :P

I can't explain what's happening with your mouse, but here are two other ways to launch a link in a new tab until someone figures it out:

• middle-click with the mouse wheel (closest to right-click > Open Link in New Tab)
• hold down Ctrl and left-click (sites sometimes override this)

Maybe other configuration can solve the problem??!!!
