i'm using FF (version 98 at the moment) to print local files. It is key to me to edit header and footer for each print! the only solution i found so far to edit them at all, is to go to about:config and for example search for print.print_headerleft. Besides that is not usable at all, it simply doesn't work! The header and footer remain the same. Please tell me how can i change header and footer?

If you delete the, in my opinion much better "page setup", why don't you include all it's funktions in the new print dialog?

another problem is the size of the new print preview! it's much to small! make it resizeable please.

Or just give us back the "page setup". That would be a big advantage over chrome and edge, which suffer the same printing problems.

I have some local services under a local domain name: example.lena

Every time I try to access any of those services that are not in my history, Firefox chooses to search google instead of load up the url, with an option appearing under the toolbar saying: "Did you mean to go to http://example.lena/?

How can I force Firefox to first try the url instead of the google search?

Hi, FF crashed yet again this month for no reason at all. And was unable to restart, said I can open a new profile. I tried signing in, but got "wrong password", so I tried reset. After password reset I lost all of my bookmarks, which I stored for 3 years for work. Thanks to this cr*p of a browser I am now unable to work! Can someone help restoring my profile settings and bookmarks or are they gone forever and I need to change a browser I use for work, because this bullsh*t is unacceptable?

The behavior of FireFox saving PDF files has changed. I am using WIN10, FireFox 98.0.1 and have it setup to use windows default application and always ask where to save for PDFs.

BEFORE the problem: The PDF opens in Acrobat Pro IX. After clicking save I would be asked, where to save. I select the location to save the PDF. Then after this, subsequent PDFs downloaded would be saved to the last saved location. This process would repeat for a new website PDF load and save. This is the behavior I want now.

NOW with the problem: The PDF opens in Acrobat Pro IX. 1. Immediately, after a reboot, the save icon on Adobe is grayed out. I select save as and point to the desired directory. 2. For any subsequent PDF opened, the Adobe save icon is available. Files are saved to the desktop.

Please note I believe I once did get a popup asking where to save and I know I selected desktop.  Since that selection I am no longer asked where to save.

Please note I have looked and tried some of the suggestions at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files#w_choose-a-different-download-folder

but some of this advice needs to be updated for the new FireFox version--ex no JSON file is found at the file location covered in the advice.

I believe this issue started after the last FireFox update. Please help me restore behavior listed above under “BEFORE the problem”. Thanks.

How do I edit the autofill data?

I can't get to the same payment page, to be in a position to delete it.

Most links on this matter refer to:

 Options => Privacy & Security => Forms and Autofill

However in my Version: Firefox 98.0.1 (64 bit) running on an up to date Windows 10 this feature is missing or deprecated.

Can anyone say how I could edit/delete this specific entry, or point me in the direction of where this data is stored?

In the mean time I can't recommend using Firefox for entering critical security data, where websites can allow the storage of CVV numbers.

Firefox 98.0.1 will not load some web pages that other browsers will. I get a message about Network Protocol Error with the option to "Try Again" which hasn't worked. I've tried many of the fixes suggested here but nothing changes. If I copy the link Firefox won't open and paste it in Brave or Opera the link loads fine. I don't want to quit Firefox but I can't spend time every day trying to fix it either.

I was tracking a package on the UPS website. I decided to sign up for their My Choice program. After I did that I could no longer track packages I just get the error "We are unable to complete your tracking request at this time. Please try again later.". I contacted them, UPS, and they had me try several things and the only one that would work is to use Chrome. Fire Fox will work if I use a private window. Whew do I go to fix this?

Hello dear Mozilla. In a few moments ago the firefox crash and show massage that its was importing my data to restart its self. But after restarting I cant run the App in its crash again and I had restart my system. After restart my system I run the firefox but my tabs , my them , my extensions and ... almost gone. pleas help me to recovery them I really really need them. Thanks.

I can't login to Lastpass with the latest version of Firefox 98.0.1. Neither the Lastpass extension or attempting to Login to Lastpass via the website will open the password vault. I enter my Lastpass email and password login details then authenticate with 2FA and all I get is the spinning wheel of anticipation which times out after 7 or 8 seconds. MS Edge allows Login and I tried Firefox Ver 98.0 on another PC and Lastpass login works so there appears to be an issue with Ver 98.0.1. Running fully patched Win 10 laptop.

How can I prevent websites from tracking my mouse cursor? I was searching for the question for a long time and couldn't find any answers.

Basically. I open a site, I want to click on Back or close the tab and it sends a pop up like "wait, don't go!" etc.

Any ideas? I think about extension or option in settings/configs.

I guess like my question is very unique or was skipped by search engines.

The option "always open similar files" is not shown in the downloaded file context menu. This occurs on 2 machines running Windows 7 64 bit. A third machine also running Windows 7 64 bit shows it correctly. All three machines have Firefox 98.0.1 installed.

Please advise how to resolve this.

Since the latest upgrade, when I click on a linked document in an e-mail and choose to open it in Firefox, the address on the new tab is file:///C:/Users/... rather than the actual URL of the document. This is very problematic for me, I do a lot of newsletter and social media work and I frequently need to be able to share document URLs (they are often sent to me for that purpose). How can I adjust my Firefox settings so clicking on a link takes me to the actual URL? I already changed the Settings / General / Applications selections to Always Ask, and it does always ask, but when I choose "Open with Firefox" I get a file:///C:/Users/... string in the search bar rather than the URL I need. I'm curretnly trying to sign into a new device, but the new device keeps telling me that the password is incorrect. However, it's literally the account that I'm signed into right now, whose credentials I am able to see and verify.

At some point Mozilla removed the Cut, Copy and Paste options in Firefox which breaks functionality on some web-pages. An example is for Ubiquiti's router web interface, in their terminal, Ctrl-C is the typical Linux kill command, right click is commandeered for a terminal layout configuration menu, and the only way to past text into the webpage is to use the Paste menu item that used to be in the hamburger menu.

There are other web-pages that using the menu item is the only or best way to cut/copy/paste text.

Removal of this feature breaks those web pages.

Basic website issue --showing tons of pink borders all the time and such also showing a pink inch bar on left side of websites--almost all of them for the past week or so I have not changed any settings and this is on both my laptop/desktops.
