Firefox 136.0.2 (64 bit) too Slow: Most time in WebRender display list

Hello:

Over the past few weeks I notice Firefox lagging in performance -- e.g., pages taking too long to load. Simple profiling tells me that most time seems to be going in "WebRender display list", and "DisplayList building". Sometimes, it is so slow that I have to use other browsers.
