Hi This does not sound like an issue to do with Firefox for Android, but I will do my best to help. To remove an icon from the Android Home Screen, press and hold the icon you want removed and drag it to the '''Remove''' (or equivalent) at the top of the screen. The application will still be on your device, it is just that shortcut that will have been removed. I hope this helps, but if not, I recommend you contact a general Android support forum.
