How can i stop/prompt in firefox before opening .bat or .py, in a website it seems to run them as a test in a window

Running .bat or other extensions on the pc is picked up normally, but when running it within an iframe or window from a site it seems to just run. Is their a way within the browser of asking if you want them to run withtin the window?
