I write some notes sometimes in the address-bar, which is saved in the session. Recently YouTube pages refresh, and the note is gone; though I can click ctrl+Z

... when the focus is in the address-bar - and what I've wrote returns. But anyway - do you know how to fix this; or what causes it in YouTube pages? It doesn't happen in a few other sites I tried.

Writing notes in the address bar isn't a very safe thing to do. I'd suggest changing your workflow and write notes in notepad or somewhere else that's meant for note taking.

Oh I forgot to say what kind of notes, ha; so some confusion arose. These are simply almost always - the text I'm currently reading or the name of the video etc; or maybe also something general about the page. I realize these add ons exist. I just tried one; but it's too much for my purposes; there are all kinds of problems and extra complications involved, probably with all of them. And the end result is that the note about the tab\page needs to exist in the same tab\page; so what's the difference? I thought that maybe there is some "about:config" change I can make or something.

You can also use the built-in Scratchpad (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to make notes.

cor-el - I'm not familiar with formatting the page or however it's called. Seems I'll have to learn this to understand how to leave a note. Also - will the note then stay in the tab if it's refreshed? I think I'll just use ctrl+Z in the address-bar; unless someone will have an idea. Thanks anyway.
