Sync worked fine until yesterday. Now i get a message "Sync encountered an error while syncing. Server incorrectly configured. Sync will automatically retry
I have not changed any settings and have no idea why sync suddenly stopped working. I am logged in and have the new version of sync.

Try to clear the mozilla.com cookies.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can also try to unlink the current device and try to run the set up again or delete the current Sync account and start anew.
Tools > Options > Sync > Unlink This Device
