are just two of the damn viruses that have infected my computer since Firefox prompted me to upgrade. So far this has cost me weeks in hours of lost productivity, the cost of Norton 360 which did not solve the problem, and ALLOT of stress. I am ready to toss my computer out a window but of course, I do ALL my business on it. I need help fast

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Akamaihd popups are adware. Remove all plugins you do not need from Firefox and all stuff you do not need from control panel. Then scan with anti-adware tools : Adwcleaner, Spybot, Spyhunter, etc.
