"Easy online" underlines random words on webpages and links them to unrelated articles or advertisements.

Do you have something called Yontoo or Yontoo Layers installed in Firefox?
{Ctrl + Shft + A} to open the Addons tab.

How do I disable EasyInline?

EasyInline is easily disabled from the Yontoo App Market. From the Yontoo App Market you can turn on or off Yontoo features and apps. To disable EasyInline and no longer see EasyInline ads, just click the "App Enabled" button and it will be disabled.

How do I uninstall Yontoo and completely get rid of EasyInline and all Yontoo apps and ads?

If there's a single piece of functionality you no longer want, but still want to use others, consider disabling the specific Yontoo App individually from the Yontoo App Market.

Here's the instructions for turning it off - Prevent Firefox from automatically completing URLs

Set the Boolean pref browser.urlbar.autoFill to false on the about:config page.

These answers have to do with auto completion of urls as they are entered. But that is not the problem. The problem is that the latest update to Firefox 14 causes words and phrases within accessed pages to be colored orange and underlined and those colored-underlined words phrases are then live links to unwanted advertising, mostly completely unrelated to the colored-underlined word or phrase. Some of the links are activated by rollover--they do not even need to be "clicked." This is a very, very annoying feature and there must be some way to disable it.

I do not recall having ever installed (or heard of) Yontoo. But I shall try to find it and see if it is what is causing this annoyance. Thanks.

It turns out that Yontoo (whatever that is) apparenly installed itself at the same time as the most recent Firefox update. I located and uninstalled Yontoo and the annoyance went away. Thank you Edmeister. I still cannot understand why anyone would voluntarily install a spam generator like the Yontoo "easy online" function or why Mozilla would allow it to impinge on Firefox' operation.

I have uninstalled Yontoo in the windows 7 control panel but I still have these unwanted easy inline ads popping up everywhere. There is nothing in plugins or extensions to disable . Please help me!

Try this:

http://download.yontoo.com/YontooUninstaller.exe

It worked for me and it took a long time to find it.

Thanks bitterbill, but no success (even after a reboot). It turns out it wasn't yontoo that was the source of my 'infection' but 1ClickDownloader which I hadn't removed because I thought it was a part of DownThemAll! which I find a very helpful add-on. Thanks to the advice at http://articlechase.com/beyondnews/showthread.php?tid=2500, I am now 'easy inline' free!
