I have pretty much the same problem. Disabling hardware acceleration does NOT fix it. Firefox has never been this unstable. What's going on??
I have exactly the same problem, I am quite desperate about it, don't know what else to do!
You can also try to "disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.
Flash "Display settings" window:
Try to disable hardware acceleration for not just Flash, but all of Firefox. Turning off hardware acceleration. This crash is caused by a Recent Graphics update to AMD graphics cards.
I fixed the problem by getting rid of Flash Player 11.4. As far as I'm concerned, it's a worthless POS. I reverted back to Flash 11.2, and now Firefox is fast, smooth, and doesn't crash.
The issue is not with flash, i am currently crashing all the time on a site where flashblock is active.
