I downloaded and dragged to Applications but got message " Can't open because firefox is not supported on the architecture. Did I download the wrong version?

I am on a Mac 10.5 and downloaded from your website, but get the following message when I try to open Firefox. "Can't open application "Firefox" because it is not supported on the Architecture". Am I doing something wrong, or did I download too new a version?

As of Firefox 17.0 and newer one needs both a Intel and at minimum OSX 10.6.

I downloaded Firefox 16 and got the message "Mounting Failed". Is this still the wrong version? Could there be something wrong with my computer. I REALLY hate Safari, and can't wait to get Firefox going. Please Help!

Anybody out there? I'm still waiting for an answer from 2/10. What does "Mounting Failed" mean and what can I do about it?

Can you first confirm that you are running Mac OX 10.6.8 or later?
