In addition to what I stated. I even uninstalled and install a fresh Firefox. Still being inundated with script issues. I spend more time trying to end those than I can on a website.

I left Chrome after 3 years because of the non-responsive page issues hoping that by coming back to Firefox all would be good.

My cache's are empty and I've done everything else that Firefox has suggested and still can't go to a website with this issue.

Have you added any of those websites to the blocklist in YesScrpt?
That extension doesn't do a damn thing at all until the user configures the blocklist for every website where they get that message.

I suspect that your problem is with script that are taking too long to run, and that Firefox is telling you such. You can try modifying the "time" a script is allowed to run before that message is triggered with this preference.

Try 15 or 20, and see how that works.

Specifically, what are your "script issues"?
What were you expecting YesScript to fix?

Re: I am plaqued with script issues. I have Yes Script and it is useless. Is there any other suggestion...20 a website it insanity.

I was expecting if I entered the website where I was having issue on YesScript using the options, it would take care of the script issue for the website. But no, it does nothing.

The script issues appear to mainly be connected with Windows Live Mail and Pinterest but have occurred on other websites but I'd say 80% of the time the issue is on those two sites.

A screen appears and states what the script issue is and to click Continue or Stop. At times I can click either of those choices and nothing happens and the web pages is frozen until it decided to either continue or stop.

To see whether one of your extensions or custom settings is causing this problem, you could try the Reset feature. This duplicates certain key data such as your bookmarks from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your plugins will still be active, but could be disabled manually if you like.

More information in this article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.

If the new settings folder has the same problem, you can switch back if you like using Firefox's Profile Manager. (Info on the profile manager: Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles -- don't delete anything yet, just use it for switching if needed.)

Does it make any difference?

You might also want to clear any "Flash cookies" for those sites.

Try the Windows Control Panel > Flash Player > Delete all

If that isn't available, this Adobe management page allows you to clear Flash data storage: Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel (hosted on macromedia.com -- Macromedia was the original developer of Flash).

jscher2000......I reset Firefox and waiting to see if this solves the issue and deleted all flash cookies.

the-edmeister......Yes, as I stated above the websites that have issues have to added to the blocklist. I modified the time to 20 as you suggested.

So I'm off to visit those sites that are the big offenders and see what happens. I'll post and let you know if this fixes the issue or not.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Gentlemen you two are brilliant. So far, 3 hours later and not one issue. Both Pinterest and Windows Live as well as MSN are working perfectly. Keeping fingers crossed that it stays that way.

Only thing that is a tad wonky is Pinterest, it will hold for a second, thinking and let go and move. No sure if that is still a script issue or something else.

But for the most part I am happy to be using Firefox again.

Thanks so much. Have a super weekend.

Well it seems that I spoke too soon. The script issue is back but mostly on Pinterest. I have it in the blocklist in YesScript.

And now it's almost refusing to end. Whether I click on Continue or Stop it was hangs or if the Script Issue warning doesn't come up the page is hanging with the "thinking" icon.

I double checked the YesScript to make sure all websites are on there and they are.

Any more suggestions?

I am also experiencing this same issue with Pinterest, and have tried the same steps as suggested aboVe. I am stumped! Any further ideas of how this can be solved would be fantastic!
